Banisteriopsis Caapi will affect each user differently. As it's an MAO inhibitor, it induces antidepressant characteristics in addition to antianxiety. Individuals also report an increased in mental acuity. This study, one of many, supports this evidence empirically. This is common for everyone; however, harmine, one of the several alkaloids in B. Caapi, initiates a cleaning process of the brain. This is done through inhibition of DYRK proteins while stimulating neural stem cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation.
